We are not for everyone as some do not agree with the following views and concepts we hold and even if you don’t agree but yet you are currently feeling imbalanced, could it be worth time to value you and consider doing something differently?

– Everything can be measured on a contrasting SCALE (+-, High-Low, Up-Down,too much-too little, Happy-Sad etc) and the sustainable balance is that which is located in the middle of the contrast rather than at the end you deem to be positive.

The expectation of ALWAYS BEING “……”(“…” insert any word) in life, is unrealistic and a form of self sabotage.

– People (including ourselves) create their own reality by their language and the quality of their internal filters when processing the world around them. We believe that when you change the internal filters the perception of the world outside you changes (this also works in contrast in that when you change what you surround yourself with you can create change internally) Situations, conditions and behaviours can be changed easily, and it is up to individuals to REALISE THEIR RESPONSIBILITY FOR TAKING ACTION.

– Long term prescribed medication fixes for overcoming depression (de-press-i-on) is a “quick fix (or sometimes long), it is paper over the cracks solution.  On the positive side of scale they disassociate you from the problem state so you feel better BUT the negative side is when feeling numbed considered better, then the problem is left and never properly addressed to deal with the underlying issues such as emotional imbalance, trauma, poor strategies stem bad habits and behaviours, therefore when people want to stop taking the drugs, they haven’t got the tools, strategies and resources manage their balance should the issue or similar arise again.

We acknowledge the mind, body connection in that our thoughts (internal processing) influence our body’s health and our body’s physiology will effect our thoughts.

– The only thing that is consistently constant is change (hence the sliding of the scales). If you are not being influenced to put it comically you simply must be brain dead. Influences are everywhere and occur both consciously and unconsciously. Our views and opinions (including what is listed here) change, Our beliefs and values can be changed by people, cultures & societies, change induced from a conversational exchange whether it be from news & advertising, old and new research being presented, and the states we are experiencing at the time, all of this and more will provide a slide in one or many of the scales.

We avoid the use of labels because of our appreciation of the influence of language and prefer to encourage the capacity for change rather than prevent it by giving people something which is sometimes negative to live up to.

– It is not about what works for others it is also what works for you. Yes, it is important to utilise the general concepts and strategies used by people who have achieved success consistently in the required area such as finance, nutrition and exercise AND because our scales may be raised at different levels, therefore at SCALE4Life we are more about finding the right balance for you.
